3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Email us at privacy@welcometomaine.com with your order number, date of purchase, amount paid, and reason for the refund request.
  • We will review your request and respond within 5 business days to let you know whether the refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed within 10 business days and returned to the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed (such as store credit).
  • If shipping applies and physical goods are being returned, you must follow shipping instructions provided by us; you may be responsible for the cost of return shipping if the item was not faulty.

4. Refund Amount & Method

If your refund is approved:

  • We will refund the amount you paid for the product or service, less any shipping (if applicable) and restocking fees (if applicable and clearly disclosed at time of sale).
  • Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for your purchase, unless another payment method is agreed with us.
  • You will see the refunded funds reflected in your account within the time-frame defined by your payment provider (typically 3-10 business days).

5. Exceptions & Non-Refundable Items

The following items are not eligible for refunds (unless required by law):

  • Items clearly marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Refundable” at checkout.
  • Downloaded digital products or services once access has been granted and used.
  • Goods damaged through misuse, abuse, or neglect by the customer.
  • Gift cards, unless the applicable law requires differently.

6. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty or incorrect item:

  • Please notify us at privacy@welcometomaine.com immediately with photos (for goods) or details of the error (for services).
  • We will either repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion within a reasonable time-frame.
